A Look Back At London

London, wow do I love London.

On our first trip to London we only had 3 days, it was not enough! Am I right? There is so much to do and see. So we are going back at Christmas to see more! Yay!

On our last trip I had a whirl wind of a time. In 3 days I managed to see the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace (only the front), the  London Dungeons, the Tower of London, shop in Piccadilly circus, celebrate New Year’s Eve, get food poisoning and sprain my foot (don’t know how).

The weather wasn’t great as you can see. We went in the winter just after Christmas, the weather was cold but had been one of the warmest winters they had had. The days were very short, the sun came up at 8.30ish and set at 4.30ish. Which left us rushing to see everything before the day lights end.

(Please forgive the camera quality, these were taken over 2 years ago and we had a different camera.)

I recommend the ‘Hop on Hop Off’ bus tours to get around. They are quick, easy and give you random information on different sights around the city.

Gloomy day.

The London Eye, great to see the city from above. On a clear day you can see Windsor Castle. Obviously we didn’t see it. The New Year’s Eve fire works go off the London Eye. It so great to experience NYE in another country. This year I hope to be in Rome!

Big Old Ben, he is sinking! Oh dear!

See he is about to fall!

In the courtyard of The Tower Of London, by this stage I had sprained my foot and could barely walk. Didn’t even get to see the Royal Jewels…next time.

The sun came out!

Look at that face.

The Globe! As an actress this was a dream come true, unfortunately there were no plays on in winter. I brought a beautiful quill from the souvenir shop to remember the amazingness. JOEL LEFT IT ON A TRAIN IN SWITZERLAND! Along with other precious souvenirs, oh the loss.

So what should I see on my next trip to London? I’m thinking Harry Potter Studio’s.

Over & Out.
